1. Eat 15 g of carbs (tablespoon sugar/honey, 1/2 cup of juice/soda, hard candies/jellybeans/gumdrops, cup of 1% or nonfat milk). Make sure they are not sugar-free/diet.
2. Wait 15 minutes and check blood sugar
3. Repeat if no improvements
4. Once under control, eat a small meal if next meal is more than a couple hours away
